Physical therapists help people who have injuries
or illnesses improve their movement and manage their pain. They are often an
important part of rehabilitation and treatment of patients with chronic
conditions or injuries. Physical therapists typically work in private offices
and clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes. They spend much of their time on
their feet, actively working with patients.

Educational Requirements:
In order to become a physical therapist, you must
first graduate from a physical therapist educational program with a master's or
doctoral degree. Expect to take courses in biology, chemistry and physics. Your
coursework will also include specialized courses such as biomechanics, neuroanatomical,
human growth and development, manifestations of disease, examination techniques
and therapeutic procedures.
