Paul ‘Bear’ Bryant
Paul Bear Bryant was born in September 11, 1913. His nickname
ste,,ed from his agreed to wrestle a captive bear during a theater promotion
when he was 13 year old.
Bear Bryant a good football player in his team during his senior season
the team with Bryant won the 1930 Arkansas State Football championship. He also accepted a scholarship to play for the
University Of Alabama in 1931. Bryan played end for the Crimson Tide and was a
participant on the school’s 1934 National Championship team.
He left Alabama to become an assistant at Vanderbilt University
under Henry Russell Sanders. After the 1941 season Bryan was offered the head
coaching job. 1982 season, Bryant, who had turned 69 that September, decided to
retire.
